What is Boresighting?
Think of boresighting as the "rough draft" of sighting in your rifle. Before you ever head to the range, this process aligns the center of your barrel with your new optic. It’s a quick mechanical check that ensures your first shot actually hits the paper target instead of disappearing into the dirt or the trees.
Why is it important to me?
Without boresighting, you can easily waste an entire box of expensive ammo just trying to figure out where your bullets are even going. It’s also the best time to make sure your scope is mounted perfectly level and everything is torqued down tight. Doing this at the workbench saves you the headache of trying to troubleshoot a loose mount while you're at the firing line.
